Marsden Park - Marsden Creek basin
60,000m² of jute across the basin. Part of integrated water-management works improving local water quality for the Marsden Creek catchment.
Marsden Park - WSUD rain gardens
Three rain garden systems (656, 592 and 553m²). Jute mesh laid through each with infiltration-zone planting.
Oran Park - detention/retention basin
Jute mat to the basin and speed planting through it. 4,500m² of jute, 50,000 tubes and 8,000 x 150mm pots.
Schofields - batter stabilisation
Jute mat across graded batters, laid to industry spec with the overlaps and fall set so water runs over the matting and can't lift it before the plants take hold. Spec gets you most of the way; we verified ground conditions on site and adjusted the layout to suit.
Ron's Creek - creek restoration
Riparian restoration along the creek line, native tubestock planted through jute. A multi-year restoration bringing the creek back over the next five years.
Newcastle - batter planting through jute and mulch
Difficult batter planting where soil, jute and 200mm of mulch were already down. Crew uncovered the jute, cut it, then augered through to plant 150mm pots.
Argyle Bailey Reserve
Planting out a new park built for council, native grasses and ferns going in among the established old trees, beside historic Ebenezer.
